CALL TO WORSHIP:

L: During these summer days, many of us find ourselves drawn to the

     lakes and rivers

P: To fish, to boat, to swim, or simply to enjoy the beauty of

     God’s creation.

L: We come today to another shoreline-

P: To meet the God who speaks through the waters.

L: Throughout Scripture, God used seas, rivers, and lakes to reveal

His power, His presence, and His purpose.

P: Today we remember the waters of the Red Sea, where God

came to Moses and the people in their distress.

L: Yet today, when fear surrounds us…

P: God is our refuge.

L: When we feel trapped…

P: God leads us forward.

L: Come, let us worship the One who still parts the waters, calms our

fears, and calls us to trust.

P: We come with grateful hearts, ready to worship the Lord!

NATALIE’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Fierce Women’s Bible Study is the next 6-week study beginning Wednesday, July 29 thru September 2 at 7pm. Study Workbooks have arrived and are in the office, the cost is $15ea. This is not just for women, all are welcome to join in. The word fierce is trendy. It is used to describe women who are extreme athletes, high-level executives, or supermodels. Women at the top of their game. But what about the rest of us? Can we be fierce? Absolutely! In fact, women like us have been changing the world for thousands of years—many who received little fanfare yet lived fiercely anyway. In this six-week study we will look at lesser-known female characters in the Bible and the ways they changed the world by living into God’s calling. Please contact Natalie if you have any questions.

                 SUMMER BOOK STUDY

Bishop Lanette will be leading a summer book discussion via zoom.  The discussion will take place on the fourth Saturday of July, August, and September from 9:00 –10:30 am. The book that will be discussed is entitled, “Building Beloved Community” written by the Council of Bishops of the United Methodist Church. In these days, in which it often seems that our sense of community is fractured by divisiveness, this book is intended to help us think about and find ways to build beloved community in our community and in our church. You must register to receive the Zoom link for the study. Register at this link https://dkmnumcreg.brtapp.com/SummerBookStudy2026  The book can be ordered through Cokesbury.com, or wherever you usually order books.

We'll share a meal, review Safer Sanctuaries®, discuss ministry plans, and prepare for the year ahead. If you are unable to attend, please contact Pastor Amber.

NATALIE’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Fierce Women’s Bible Study is the next 6-week study beginning Wednesday, July 29 thru September 2 at 7pm. Study Workbooks are ordered.

LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY

Our church Little Free Food Pantry continues to be a resource for individuals and families in our community. We stock it every day. We are currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items such as tuna, pasta (Knorr), rice (Knorr), mac & cheese cups & breakfast items. Donations can be brought to the church office. Thank you for your kindness and support in this project and in serving others.

TODAY IS PEACE WITH JUSTICE SUNDAY

The world is full of conflict, division, and injustice.  Peace with Justice Sunday reminds us that the church has a role to play in making things right. United Methodists believe that working for peace means addressing the deeper causes of conflict- like poverty, racism, and oppression. It’s not just about ending war, but about building a world where everyone is treated with dignity.

Peace with Justice Sunday matters because it equips United Methodists to advocate for change and support ministries that challenge systems on inequality and violence. There are special envelopes located as you enter the Worship Center.

PEACE WITH JUSTICE SUNDAY ~ SUNDAY, MAY 31ST

The world is full of conflict, division, and injustice.  Peace with Justice Sunday reminds us that the church has a role to play in making things right. United Methodists believe that working for peace means addressing the deeper causes of conflict- like poverty, racism, and oppression. It’s not just about ending war, but about building a world where everyone is treated with dignity.

Peace with Justice Sunday matters because it equips United Methodists to advocate for change and support ministries that challenge systems on inequality and violence.

LITTLE FOOD PANTRY

Our church Little Food Pantry continues to be a resource for individuals and families in our community. We are currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items such as tuna, pasta (Knorr), rice (Knorr), & breakfast items. Donations can be brought to the church office. Thank you for your kindness and support in this project and in serving others.

There are 2 projects that the money will be used to support.1) The endowment for theological education to help United Methodist in Africa, the Philippians, and Europe prepare for ministry. 2) Provide education and training for laity in the Dakotas Conference equipping disciples for leadership.

  THIS IS THE WAY

Be sure to join us for worship on April 26.  Pastor Keith will be starting the next Sermon Series, “This Is the Way!”  In this sermon series we’ll be taking a closer look at The Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5-7.  If it is truly our desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus and live out God’s Kingdom together, The Sermon on the Mount will help us understand how to do just that.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Join us for our Wednesday night Bible study on April 29 at 7:00pm. That week’s topic will be on Judaism. We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Joel Allen, who brings extensive knowledge and insight into Judaism. In a few weeks, the puzzle will be assembled, framed, and displayed on the wall as a lasting reminder of our shared community. Just like each puzzle piece is essential to complete the picture, every one of us plays an important and unique role in the life of our church. We hope that you will take a moment to participate and be part of this meaningful display!

NATIVE AMERICAN SUNDAY

On this Sunday, April 19th, many United Methodist congregations will celebrate Native American Ministries Sunday. Native American Ministries Sunday is one of six churchwide Special Sundays designated to support ministries and causes important to the entire United Methodist Church. On this day, we come together to honor and support Indigenous peoples and communities. It’s a day to recognize the rich gifts, cultures, and contributions of Native Americans to both society and the Church. Special Sundays give us a chance to focus our prayers and support on important ministries all year long—uniting our gifts to multiply our impact. Your generosity strengthens Native leadership and sustains ministry across the connection. There are special envelopes located at the entrances to the Worship Center.

VERSE FOR REFLECTION: 1 Corinthians 15:54-57

When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
