MISSION OF THE MONTH
Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota
NOVEMBER “ONE THING”
Our November “One Thing” is mashed potatoes for the Salvation Army Christmas Food Baskets. Our goal is to provide 250 bags or boxes of instant mashed potatoes.
2026 KINDNESS CAMPAIGN T-SHIRT
Today many of us will be wearing our “Love One Another” T-Shirts as a part of the 2026 Kindness Campaign. It is a reminder for us all to act with kindness and love for all before, during, and after our national election on Tuesday. But of course, this is a wonderful message for the entire year.
We do have a few remaining T-Shirts available in the Gathering Area. Stop at the table in the gathering area to see what is available. We can open the store up again and order more, but we must have a minimum of 15 Shirts ordered and the cost is higher. Talk to Tonya for more information.
YOUTH SUNDAY
Youth, we need YOU! We're looking for youth to help lead worship on Sunday, November 8! Whether you'd like to help lead music, collect the offering, read prayers, or serve in another way, we'd love to have you be a part of the service! Please let Pastor Amber know as soon as possible if you can participate!
THANK YOU
I wish to thank my church family for your calls, prayers, and concerns while I was hospitalized. A special thank you to Leana Stunes and Congregational Care for the visit, card, and gift. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. ~ Margaret Smith
MIRACLE SUNDAY
Thank You to everyone who participated in the Miracle Offering last week. Last week alone we received $28,055. We received around $45,000 in gifts and donations before Sunday. Which means we are right around halfway to the goal of $150,000 for the remodeling and other projects that need attention.
If you were unable to join us on Sunday but would still like to be a part of the Miracle Offering, you can mail, drop of your donation at the church office, or place your gift in the offering plate today and be sure to specify “Miracle Offering.” Thank You! Together we accomplish much!!
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
We will be looking at some one-time studies each week- about Creation, God’s Love, Faith and Prayer. We will have some craft activities to go with each week beginning October 28th through November 18th. For more details, reach out to Natalie. All are welcome!
CHURCH CONFERENCE
Join us for our yearly Church Conference gathering on Sunday November 15th at 6:30 PM in the chapel. Superintendent Brandon Vetter will lead our time together. All are welcome.
LOVE FEAST ANOUNCEMENTS
Love Feast is currently accepting County Fair stamps so they can purchase turkeys for the Christmas meal. Please drop stamps off at the church office.
Beginning November 8th, Love Feast will begin with sign-ups for donations and for workers for their December 17th Christmas Meal. They are also asking for donations of hats and gloves/mittens which will be given away at that meal. There will be boxes at each entry to the Worship Center beginning next week.
LIFE QUEST SPECIAL APPRECIATION PROJECT
Life Quest needs our help! They need baked goods: cookies, bars, or brownies. The baked goods will be shared with teachers and staff at the local schools, including Avera Brady, Edgewood, and Rosewood. They also asking for 12 oz. Gatorade bottles to deliver to our Police Department, Fire Department, and Sheriff’s Office. They are looking for 20 dozen baked goods and 12 oz. Gatorade bottles. If you would like to help them, please bring all donations to FUMC by noon on November 3rd. Let’s show our support for our Life Quest friends as they spread appreciation throughout our community!
LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY
We continue to collect non-perishable food items to help keep our Little Free Food Pantry stocked and available to those in need. Donations may be brought to the church office. Thank you for helping us share God’s love with our community!
VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Romans 8:38-39 CEB
I’m convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord: not death or life, not angels or rulers, not present things or future things, not powers or height or depth, or any other thing that is created.

GREETING:
CALL TO WORSHIP:
L: We come today remembering those whose love has made a
difference in our lives.
P: We thank God for the saints who have taught us to love,
to care, and to walk in faith.
L: We live in a world where disagreements can divide us and
differences can drive us apart.
P: But Jesus calls us to a different way- a way of grace,
compassion, and love.
L: We may not always agree, and we may not always see the world
the same way.
P: But we can always choose kindness. We can always show
compassion. We can always love one another.
L: As we remember the saints who have gone before us, may we
carry their legacy of love into the world today.
P: May our words bring encouragement, our actions show
kindness, and our lives reflect Christ in all we do.
L: Come, let us worship the God who brings us all together at
the table of grace.
P: We come to worship, to remember, and to share the
love of Jesus with all!
