YOUTH GROUP PARENT & STUDENT WELCOME NIGHT

September 9th * 6:30 PM * Youth Room

Parents and students- plan to join us as we kick off a new year of youth group!

We’ll enjoy a meal together, share the vision and exciting plans for the year, and go over important expectations, schedules, and information for students and parents. Parent attendance is important as we begin the year together! We want to make sure everyone is on the same page and ready for a great year.

SUNDAY SCHOOL KICKOFF

Come one, come all and step right up to the Sunday School Kickoff Carnival on our first day of Sunday School, September 13th. It will be held during Sunday School hour. There will be games and prizes, a cake walk, a photo booth, doughnuts, popcorn and juice. There will also be a special prize for all children that attend, so please plan to be with us as we kick off a great upcoming year. Backpack Blessing will happen this day too during worship, so remember to bring your backpacks!

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM REMODEL PROJECT

In September, work will begin on the Kitchen/Dining Room Remodel and Update project. This has been a project long in coming. When completed, the Church Trustees are confident the kitchen and dining room will better serve the needs of our church and the various groups that utilize our kitchen and dining room. The work to be done includes new cabinets, floor, ceiling, lighting, walls freshly painted and textured, and some new appliances. Dawn Williams, our Trustee Chair spoke to the congregation about this project a couple weeks ago. You can ask her any questions you may have. One of the items that wasn’t mentioned was the total cost. The total project is anticipated to be around $120,000.  The trustees have some funds in hand and are seeking donations to complete the project. If you’d like to donate, you can talk to Dawn, a Trustee, Pastor Keith, or simply bring your gift to the church and make sure it is marked Kitchen Project. Thank you for your interest and help. We look forward to the completed project.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND YOUTH GROUP REGISTRATION

If you haven’t already, please take time to register for Sunday School and Youth Group. Each year we ask parents to register their child/children so that we have current information on file. Registration is now available online on our website under the family ministries tab or you can stop by the office for a copy. Sunday School is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, September 13th. Youth Group is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 16th.

THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS AT WORK & PLAY

Have you seen the Photo Wall outside Pastor Amber's office? Be sure to stop and check it out! If you have photos you'd like to share, send them to Tonya or Pastor Amber, and we'll add them to the wall. It's a fun way to celebrate the ministries, events, and gatherings that make up our church family. Take a look to see familiar faces, see some new ones, and catch a glimpse of all that's happening in the life of our church family!

LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY

Our church Little Free Food Pantry continues to be a resource for individuals and families in our community. We stock it every day. We are currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items such as tuna, pasta (Knorr), rice (Knorr), mac & cheese cups & breakfast items. Donations can be brought to the church office.

GARDEN SURPLUS

If you have excess garden produce, you are welcome to bring it to the church. There is a produce table in the Gathering Area. If you need/want any veggies, please leave a donation in the basket. All money collected is used for a Missions Team project.

VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Proverbs 4:23-25 (CEB)

More than anything you guard, protect your mind, for life flows from it. Have nothing to do with a corrupt mouth; keep devious lips far from you. Focus your eyes straight ahead; keep your gaze on what is in front of you.
