NOISY BUCKETS
Noisy Bucket Sunday is today! This year we have a new project for the Noisy Bucket money that is collected. The money raised will be used to sponsor a child at the school that the Haiti Alive project sponsors. It costs $200 to sponsor a child. So, for every $200 we collect Bruce Blumer will send us another picture of a child we are supporting for the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you for making this a great project…and helping children in Haiti. Congratulations to the 4th-5th grade Sunday School class for winning our 1st Noisy Buckets Classroom Coin Challenge by bringing in 4.5# of coins. Congratulations to all classrooms for bringing in more than $107 for Haiti students.

MISSION OF THE MONTH
As One Ministry
OCTOBER “ONE THING”
Our October “One Thing” is stove top stuffing for the Mitchell Area Food Pantry Thanksgiving Baskets. Our goal is to provide them with 600 boxes of stuffing.
2026 KINDNESS CAMPAIGN T-SHIRT
As our nation heads towards elections in a month, our church is once again participating in the National Kindness Campaign. This year’s T-shirt has the simple message of “Let’s Love One Another” on it. Our church name and logo appear on the back of the shirt. This shirt design fits in so well with our own Sunday School Theme; “GOAL” – Go Out And Love. There will be a few shirts available for purchase, contact the church office if you would like one. We will be encouraged to wear them to church on Sunday, November 1st.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
We are in need of Goldfish crackers for Sundays. Donations may be dropped off at the church office. Thank you for helping!
CHRISTMAS SHOE BOXES
The tree is up, the lights are twinkling, and the boxes are ready to go. Please take one or more tags from the tree, grab your box/es, take an instruction sheet and go shopping. Boxes must be at the conference center by November 1st so please have them filled and turn them in to the church office by October 25th. Thank you for making a child's Christmas brighter.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS INVENTORY
As we dig deeper into what Spiritual Gifts are in the current sermon series, please be sure to take the spiritual gifts inventory to discover what your gifts are. There is a QR code available with your smart phone to connect with the inventory. Or via your computer: https://www.umcdiscipleship.org/spiritual-gifts-inventory/en. Paper versions of the inventory are available in the gathering area or in the church office. Once you know your top 5 spiritual gifts, please share them with the church office. Our desire is to help people serve in areas of their giftedness.
LOVEFEAST ANOUNCEMENTS
Love Feast has been chosen to receive 10% of sales from Gliks on Thursday, October 22nd. The task force would appreciate your support.
Also, there are excess kitchen items for a free will offering in the hallway near the gathering area.
MIRACLE SUNDAY
The Church Council and the Finance Team are asking that we have a Miracle Offering Sunday to help finish paying for the Kitchen and Dining Room remodel project. Plus, there are a couple of projects we feel need to be addressed right away; 1. A new crack in the Worship Center ceiling. 2. A new front door. 3. A new security locking system for our facility to help address some of the security concerns of our location.
Our Miracle Offering Sunday will be October 25. During worship there will be a one-time special offering received specifically for the projects mentioned as the focus for this miracle offering. Your Miracle Offering gift can be cash, stock/investments, grain, etc. More information will be coming.
THANK YOU
Thank you for your generous giving to the ALS Walk. With your help our team raised $8,705! So far the walk total is $72,000 and growing. You are appreciated! ~ The Wilson family
LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY
We continue to collect non-perishable food items to help keep our Little Free Food Pantry stocked and available to those in need. Donations may be brought to the church office. Thank you for helping us share God’s love with our community!
VERSE FOR REFLECTION: 1 Corinthians 3:8-9
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and each will receive wages according to their own labor. For we are God’s coworkers, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building.
