YOUTH GROUP PARENT & STUDENT WELCOME NIGHT

September 9th * 6:30 PM * Youth Room

Parents and students- plan to join us as we kick off a new year of youth group! We’ll enjoy a meal together, share the vision and exciting plans for the year, and go over important expectations, schedules, and information for students and parents. Parent attendance is important as we begin the year together! We want to make sure everyone is on the same page and ready for a great year.

8th GRADE CONFIRMATION STUDENTS & PARENTS

Reminder for students and parents: A confirmation meeting will take place in the dining room at 9am on September 13th. This meeting is for the youth and at least one parent. Please reach out to Jennifer Jacques if you have any questions.

DOWNTOWN MOM’S SMALL GROUP

Hey, Momma- you’re invited! Downtown Mom’s is a new small group created for moms who want a little time to breathe, connect, sip some coffee, and grow in faith together. We’ll meet Sundays at 9AM during the Sunday School hour, beginning Sept. 20th  in the youth room, for honest conversation, friendship, coffee, and a biblical topic to help us navigate the beautiful, messy, exhausting, and joyful season of motherhood. Come as you are- the coffee’s hot, the welcome is warm, and there’s a place for you here!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

At some point, our lives get messy. Illness, conflict, depression, divorce, job loss...it happens, and when it does, there's nowhere to hide. Thankfully, God loves us, despite our brokenness. In this study we will look at Rahab, the prodigal son, Josiah, Mary, David and Daniel and how their messy lives and stories changed the world.  Please join us beginning Wednesday, September 9 at 7:00 pm downstairs in room 103.  Books have been ordered.

SUNDAY SCHOOL KICKOFF

Come one, come all and step right up to the Sunday School Kickoff Carnival on our first day of Sunday School, September 13th. It will be held during Sunday School hour. There will be games and prizes, a cake walk, a photo booth, doughnuts, popcorn and juice. Backpack Blessing will happen this day too during worship, so remember to bring your backpack.

LOVE FEAST

Beginning in September when we start the kitchen/dining room remodel, Love Feast will be serving and hosting at The Masonic Hall, 112 E. 5th Ave, Mitchell.  If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the Love Feast Task Force Members.

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM REMODEL PROJECT

In September, work will begin on the Kitchen/Dining Room Remodel. This has been a project long in coming. The work to be done includes new cabinets, floor, ceiling, lighting, walls freshly painted and textured, and some new appliances. The total project is anticipated to be around $120,000.  The Trustees have some funds on hand and are seeking donations to complete the project. If you’d like to donate, you can talk to Dawn Williams, a Trustee, Pastor Keith, or simply bring your gift to the church and make sure it is marked Kitchen Project. Thank you for your interest and help. We look forward to the completed project.

DAKYOUTH 2026

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for DAKYOUTH, October 9-11 in Aberdeen, SD. It will be a fun weekend filled with worship, fellowship, music, speakers, and time with other youth from around the Dakotas. The cost is $50 per student, plus the cost of food. If you are interested in attending, please contact Pastor Amber for more information and to sign up!

LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY

Our church Little Free Food Pantry continues to be a resource for individuals and families in our community. We stock it every day. We are currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items such as tuna, pasta (Knorr), rice (Knorr), mac & cheese cups & breakfast items. Donations can be brought to the church office.

VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Philippians 4:6-7 (CEB)

Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.
