LABOR DAY

In observance of Labor Day, our church office will be closed on Monday, September 1st. We wish you all a happy Labor Day!

WELCOME REV. DR. AMBER LAFFEY

Pastor Amber Laffey is a Deacon in the UMC and is excited to serve in her new role as Pastor of Youth and Faith Formation. She is passionate about helping youth connect with one another and with a God who loves them deeply. Amber recently completed her Doctor of Ministry and loves cheering on young people and families as they grow in faith and courage. When she’s not at church, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with her husband, Tyler, their four kids- Ava, Corwin, Adeline, and Rose- or sipping coffee, walking the dog and cheering for the Parkston Trojans.

DAKYOUTH IS COMING!

Middle and high schoolers, get ready for an incredible weekend of faith, friends, and fun! We’re heading to Aberdeen, October 10-12 for DAKYOUTH 2025- a high energy retreat packed with powerful worship, amazing music, and plenty of surprises. Don’t miss your chance to grow closer to God and connect with youth from all over the Dakotas! Talk to Pastor Amber or Tonya to get signed up!

VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Acts 20:24 (CEB)

But nothing, not even my life, is more important than my completing my mission. This is nothing other than the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify about the good news of God’s grace.

 SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CONFIRMATION

The first day of Sunday School and 8th grade confirmation will be Sunday, September 7th. There will be a kickoff/fun day for the children,  and we will have blessing of their backpacks during children’s time. If you haven’t registered your child yet, please stop by the office so that we have current and accurate information.
