MISSION OF THE MONTH

Abbott House

For over 80 years, Abbott House has devoted their work to providing transformative therapeutic support services for the betterment of youth across the state of South Dakota.

MARCH “ONE THING”

Our March “One Thing” is liquid laundry detergent for The Helping Hand Pantry. The Helping Hand Pantry helps those in need of hygiene items.

APRIL “ONE THING”

Our April “One Thing” will be $10 ice cream gift cards for CASA. The mission of First Circuit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is to assure a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every abused and/or neglected child by providing a trained volunteer to advocate for them in the court system.

STAINED GLASS WINDOW UPDATE

Pastor Keith, myself, and the Trustees would like to thank you for the many wonderful gifts that we received for the stained-glass project. Your donations will allow us to restore and provide the Plexi-glass coverings on the East wall windows this spring/summer. The remaining windows, those on the upper balcony on the East side, will be scheduled for spring of 2025.

Thank you so much for your support and donations to this very special project. ~ Jo A. Freier, Stained Glass Window Coordinator

 WHY ARE WE HERE??!!

Reclaiming our “Why”. Our church leadership is asking this question for our church, and we want you, our church family, to help with the answer. Saturday, April 6th a ministry retreat will be held in the chapel from 9:30am-1:30pm to help us with this question. This retreat is open to our church leaders as well as anyone from our church family that is interested in the life and future of our church. If you are planning on attending, please let Keith or Tonya know. This retreat is number 2 of 3 that is being led by Lin VanHofwegen, a Spiritual Director who helps provide clarity, focus, and visions to groups like ours.

CAMP SUNDAY

On Sunday, April 7th, we will be celebrating “Camp Sunday” in worship. Church camp is so important to our church and our youth, so we invite you to join us for service and to hear all about camp experiences from our youth. If you would like to make a donation for church camps, there will be a lockbox in the Gathering Area.
