MISSION OF THE MONTH
Casa
SEPTEMBER “ONE THING”
Our September “One Thing” is individually wrapped snacks for our youth group. Examples would be individual packaged chips, crackers, or cookies.
ANATOMY OF BELONGING
Anatomy is defined as the study of the structure of the human body, an animal, plant, or other organism. In this sermon series Pastor Keith will be focusing on the realm of “belonging” and what makes a person feel that they belong or don’t belong. Jesus was continually opening his arms and the doors of God’s Kingdom to invite people to belong. As a church I believe that is a part of our mission too. So, join us for this story as we study the characteristics or elements of what belonging is all about.
“ATTRACTED TO HOPE”
In his latest book, Attracted to Hope, Bruce Blumer talks of the power of hope that he has seen and experienced in the midst of the chaos of the world and even with his own difficult diagnoses. It is a book of encouragement that helps empower each of us to help create hope in our lives and in our world. Bruce will be in our Church on Sunday, November 9 to talk about his book and also the ministry of Haiti Alive. Copies of this book are in the Gathering Area. The suggested donation for a copy of the book is $15.00.
FREE RESOURCES
Over the last several years we’ve offered various studies and other resources to you or church family. We are cleaning out our office closet to make more room. We have placed books and resources to give away in the gathering area by the “Welcome” wall. Take a look and take items you find interesting. No Charge. Just use them. Thanks!
SERVICE OF HOPE AND HEALING
FOLLOWING LOSS BY SUICIDE
As part of September being Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, our church will host a Service of Hope and Healing for those whose lives have been touched by the tragedy of suicide. The service will take place on Sunday, September 21st at 4pm in our Worship Center. Please share this information with family and friends who have experienced the death of a loved one by suicide. Our goal is to provide a service in which we allow people to remember those who died, and to provide hope and healing for those who live.
DAKYOUTH IS COMING!
Middle and high schoolers, get ready for an incredible weekend of faith, friends, and fun! We’re heading to Aberdeen, October 10-12 for DAKYOUTH 2025- a high energy retreat packed with powerful worship, amazing music, and plenty of surprises. Don’t miss your chance to grow closer to God and connect with youth from all over the Dakotas! Talk to Pastor Amber or Tonya to get signed up!
VERSE FOR REFLECTION: John 3:16-17
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
GARDEN SURPLUS
If you have excess garden produce, you are welcome to bring it to the church. There is a produce table in the Gathering Area. If you need/want the veggies, please leave a donation in the basket and take them with you. The money benefits World Hunger.
