                             MISSION OF THE MONTH

Haiti Project

AUGUST “ONE THING”

Our August “One Thing” is Macaroni Noodles for Mitchell Weekend Snack Pack Program. The noodles will be packaged with ingredients for a family to make a hotdish for a meal.

VBS AND GOOD NEWS COFFEE CO. TRAILER

Our last VBS for the summer will be Sunday, August 10th 9:45-11:15am. All pre-school- 5th grade children are welcome! We will have Good News Coffee Co. trailer here from 9-11:30am. Make sure to stop by before or after worship service or VBS to grab a drink and/or dessert.

LAST BASH OF SUMMER

Let’s have a blast at the Last Summer Bash with our brothers and sisters of Fusion UMC. The event will take place at Patton Young Park on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 5-7pm. There will be a potluck with hamburgers and hotdogs provided, please bring a side to share. Also, bring a canned food item to help kick off the DWU Food Drive. We could use a couple of people to help with setup and clean up. We also need someone to help with the play-by-play during the kickball game. Talk to Pastor Keith for more info.

GARDEN SURPLUS

If you have excess garden produce, you are welcome to bring it to the church. There is a produce table in the Gathering Area. If you need/want the veggies, please leave a donation in the basket and take them with you. The money benefits World Hunger.

BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS-VOLUNTEER TODAY!

We have an amazing volunteer opportunity for you!  Shape young lives and help children and youth grow in their faith! We have a wonderful team of family ministry volunteers, and we provide support and training to help you succeed. There are many roles available: Sunday School Teachers and Helpers, Youth Leaders and Helpers, Coordinating Children's Ministry or Youth Ministry, or inspire our young people through your musical gifts! Will you consider joining our team and help make a difference?

VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Lamentations 3:22-24

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
